In addition to taking photos of my kids, one of the reasons I started taking photos years ago was to capture memories of our pets. It turns out that our current Boston Terriers are pretty good subjects, if not somewhat easily annoyed by me telling them to “stay” and “look at Mommy”.





It’s been fun to explore what the Q2 can do in manual mode combined with the power of Lightroom, and at least I am amazed at what I can produce. This shot of Memphis has a preset filter that the system recommended but I really liked it.

I explored more with transition to black-and-white and with cropping and got this:

I have no doubt I will end up with thousands of pictures of the dogs.
