I woke up way too early from a dream I’d rather forget and couldn’t figure out what was wrong. It was the moon, lighting up the bedroom. We haven’t seen the moon for awhile since it’s the rainy season, so I was curious how it looked against Chief Kiwanda.

Looked cool.

I pulled my ass out of bed and grabbed the camera and remembered the tripod and went and played with long exposures. My eyesight is so bad it’s insanely hard to focus on an object as far away as the rock so I set the camera to take multiple shots and alter the focus in each incrementally.

I think I got a shot that worked.

The first shot is using the XCD 80 but I wasn’t able to get the moon in the frame so I grabbed the XCD 45 which game me a wider view (second shot) which I then cropped down to match the first.
