
“Honey guess what! I got a smoke machine and I need your help figuring out how to use it in photos …”
I could hear her sigh, audibly.

I sure am lucky that my wife loves me, or at least tolerates my shenanigans, because it turns out that smoke is sort of hard to deal with in photography. To start, it’s kind of stinky and, you know, smoky.

More interestingly, it is super affected by light and impacted by the various decisions you can make in Adobe Lightroom. But what fun, huh?
