Bora

The second shoot I did in my “homage to Greg Williams” series was with Bora. Bora told me she was newer to modeling which turned out to be absolutely perfect since my goal is less “model shots” and more “people being people”.

Bora did a fantastic job just being herself. She showed up at our location with her husband who also happened to be wonderful and immediately understand what I was talking about.

First we got the “model” shots out the way. Those, I think, turned out nicely …

Then we moved onto the more casual shots which were, essentially, “Bora goes shopping.” It turned out that Bora loves shopping so this came very, very naturally to her.

Two shots from this set really stood out to me. The first, below, where I had asked her some question and I captured her in thought about the answer …

The second deeper into the antique store where she just has this “I am in my happy place” look on her face …

I mentioned that she brought her husband along which was perfect. I think his being there made us both more comfortable, he is a delightful human being, and their interaction delivered some of the best shots I got all day!

Two of my favorites. First, this solo shot I got of him …

And second this shot that they suggested of them crossing the street in downtown Camas, walking towards me as I shot from a lower angle …

How adorable are they?!

Finally, and I honestly had to stop myself from editing photos since I ended up with far more “keepers” than I expected, I got this nice shot that I will probably send to the Liberty Theater in Camas and see if they want to use them in their advertising (with Bora’s permission, of course.)

You can follow Bora on Instagram at @twomuchforlife and thanks to Nick Blair for the suggestions on edits and lighting.

Here are a few random photos you may enjoy, or have a look at all my portfolio, my work shooting roadside memorials, or car people that I have photographed.
