Critique is sadly no longer freely available! Due to abuse we have made the decision to only offer Critique as a paid subscription.
Sorry about that!
What is Critique?
Critique is a AI-powered system designed to help new photographers take a closer look at their work.
Is Critique free?
Not anymore. You can still use the system via CritiquePRO which is available via paid subscription.
Can Critique evaluate any photo?
Photography is about beauty, and humans are among the most beautiful creatures there are. That said, Anthropic is pretty prude and rejects lots of photos that you and I would consider PG or PG-13, which is their prerogative. You’ll know if you try and submit something they don’t like.
What happens to my photos?
They get sent to Anthropic for processing and then, saved while you are a paying subscriber. I am not 100% sure what Anthropic does with them but they say they do not use them to train their system. Here is their privacy policy which governs API use.
Sounds cool. How much?
CritiquePRO is available as a monthly subscription for $2.99 USD.
How can you have AI evaluate art?
Good question. I guess I have struggled enough to get useful feedback on my photography and so it just made sense to see if these evolving entities could be trained to help. Certainly the results aren’t perfect — I keep having examples of the system giving Ansel Adams “B” grades for his work — but it’s a fair bit better than most of the other options I could find, it scales well, and it’s priced fairly.
Can I see some examples?
Yeah, here are examples from my work as a beginning photographer.
Still have questions?
