
Still shooting around my neighborhood thanks to some generous folks, today Ellen invited me over to have a look at her old shed and pump house. She’s a third-generation Camasonian and had some wonderful stories she shared while I shot.
The shack she thought I would want to see was more or less perfect.

As we talked I noticed another building in a greater state of decay behind the shack so I asked about it. “The old chicken coop,” Ellen said. “My mom didn’t want the chickens near the house.”

No chickens, but this wonderful old bike …


It was Ellen’s bike growing up, she said, but with all the growth around Camas these years she doesn’t do much riding.
