Cordelle Gay Merton lost her life near Pacific City in January, 2021.

According to the Sheriff:

“On Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at 10:43, Deputies responded to McPhillips Beach Dr. near Pacific City for a report of a single vehicle motor vehicle crash where a car had left the roadway and crashed into the brush. Deputies located a deceased person on the scene. Deputies requested that an Oregon State Police accident reconstructionist and Tillamook County Medical Examiner, Dr. Paul Betlinksi, respond to the scene. Cordelle Gay Merton, 65, of Pacific City was identified as the decedent.”
