Anon en Mexico

Once I started looking for descansos in the Los Cabos area I sadly discovered they were everywhere. So much so that I wasn’t able to photograph them all, mostly because I wouldn’t be able to safely park anywhere near the memorials.

I got lucky with this one, an anonymous marker off the side of Highway 1. There was a small pullout adjacent to the cross that gave me enough space to get my rented Kia out of the way of the traffic speeding by.

This memorial didn’t appear to be cemented in and reminded me more of the descansos I have been photographing in the United States. The flowers had dried, the card was faded, as had the paint on the cross.
