Enrique Santellano Reynoso, 53, crossed the center line on what is proving in my work to be one of the most memorialized (if not deadly) roads in Oregon, Highway 97. He was killed on contact.

Fortunately the folks he hit were uninjured.

I was struck by the huge American flag on the opposite side of the road. I’m not sure why, but it seemed poignant.
