Felipe

I was on my way to rent a car so that I could look for and photograph descansos when I happened upon two. Apparently two different memorials, although they may be for victims of the same accident, I found memorials for Felipe and Jose.

It’s always a little strange to see these memorials on city streets but I should not be surprised; deadly accidents happen everywhere. As I was shooting this young woman walked by, possible taking a route she does everyday.

These were my first memorials in Mexico and so I was a little surprised to see them made out of steel and cemented into the ground.

It turns out this was just the beginning.
