Devan Nelson was twenty six when he died in Maupin, Oregon. He ran his motorcycle into a Pontiac Vibe that was turning off of highway 197 and died on the spot.

His descanso is well built, surrounded by rocks with solar powered lights on each side to shine a light on his memorial.

We had passed his memorial dozens of times since he died in June 2023 but only took notice earlier this year. It’s odd since once you see it you can’t not … but I guess that is how it is with all of these descansos.
