Anon in Bend
The wife and I went out “looking not looking” for descansos in Bend, Oregon today. I say that because I’m pretty sure that part of the zen of this project is to learn how to “find without looking” memorials to photograph, and that is how we found this simple memorial.

Little more than a hastily assembled cross and some plastic sunflowers, the descanso is at a backroads intersection heading East out of town. Nothing to identify the person being honored, just the simplest of shrines, found without looking.
Rest in peace, stranger.
