Courtney

A wreath of flowers that lay on a rock and a simple white cross with sunflowers painted on it are all that memorialize Courtney on Oregon Highway 26. There are at least one, possibly two other descansos at this exact location — a dead man’s curve, as it were — but only Kendra Cornwall’s death yielded any information via the Internet.

I’m honestly not sure if the wreath is for Courtney or somebody else; a lot of bad stuff has happened at this particular spot on the road it seems.

The whole scene was really quite sad and beautiful in a way that only descansos seem to convey.
