Yellow Cross

Another descanso I am just not sure how I missed. We have driven by it hundreds of times. Perhaps it’s new … I have no way to know since it has zero markings on it.

To be fair, it’s pretty far off the road on Highway 97 South of Bend, Oregon, and it’s in a spot you could easily miss it.

My wife spotted it — she’s getting a lot better at that lately — and I went back the next morning to take advantage of the light. I like the next few shots I got with the sun rising behind the cross.

Such a simple thing.

I will never know who this is memorializing — who knows, maybe it’s for Jesus?
