Timothy

Timothy

Driving is dangerous, being a passenger is dangerous, and, it turns out, walking can be dangerous. Timothy Painter found that out while walking along highway 26 near the Oregon coast when he was struck by a car.

He was sixty five.

As is often the case there is very little information about Mr. Painter on the Internet. Even uncommon seeming names become common when spread out across the globe, and it seems rare that there is much of an online eulogy for the vast majority of the folks whose descansos I have photographed.

Still, we can infer from the decorations on his cross that Timothy survived fatherhood, motorcycle riding, and cancer … but not his final walk.

Rest in peace, Timothy.
