One of my favorite cars to photograph and drive is my 1972 Porsche 911 T that has been “forward dated” to be a replica of the legendary 1973 911 2.7L RS. I love the car so much I have rebuilt the engine in it twice — once because it needed it when I acquired the car and a second time when Porsche came out with a brand new 2.7L magnesium case. I did the latter rebuild because the original engine seeped oil, common in older magnesium cases I have been told, and because the team at Avant Guard Collection (who did the rebuild) offered me a generous deal on the work.
Unfortunately, according to the owner of Avant Guard, Porsche has issued a recall on the 2.7L magnesium case, and so instead of driving the car this summer it will have to be shipped back to Portland and the engine rebuilt again.

Hopefully third time’s a charm, huh?
Here are a few random photos you may enjoy, or have a look at all my portfolio, my work shooting roadside memorials, or car people that I have photographed.
