Chapel

Not so much a descanso given that Jesus didn’t die in a car accident but we have come across several of these small chapels for the Catholic faithful and I was particularly struck by this one.

I have been told that it’s Lent and so I should not be surprised to see more people visiting these roadside “churches”, leaving candles, etc.

It really was quite pretty, albeit the iconography is sort of lost on me, and I’m always sort of shocked by how good a job the Hasselblad does in relatively low light.
