Driving back from Pacific City the wife says “we should get some smoked meats for (our son).” We are passing the famous Tillamook Cheese Factory which is probably why she was thinking about it, I guess because cheese and smoked meats go together? Regardless, we decided to stop at the Tillamook Country Smoker Factory Outlet Store, more or less the place to get smoked meats, and what did I find at the entrance?

Janette died when her driver, Anthony, drove into a drainage ditch and lost control of his car. They apparently careened out of control for two hundred feet and stopped at the entrance to the Country Smoker parking lot.

She was twenty three.

Her descanso is simple, and the text has faded almost completely; I needed to modify the image in Adobe Lightroom to even see her name. The accident was in 2021, so perhaps her memory is starting to fade …
