Billy
Another example of “how did I possibly not see this before” with Billy’s descanso out near the Oregon Coast. His marker is a colorful affair just before a bridge over the Little Nestucca river on a road I have travelled a dozen times in the past decade.

William “Billy” Carter crashed his Jeep on Oregon highway 130 near a park, rolled down the embankment, and died, according to Oregon State Police.
He was fifty seven.

It’s clear his loved ones miss him as the flowers were fresh and the memorial had clearly been visited recently. It still amazes me I had never noticed Billy’s descanso until now.

Rest in peace, Billy.
