Nick Blair, who has been profoundly helpful on my journey as an aspiring photographer, asked me awhile back “would you be open to bringing a car to shoot with a two models, one of whom has nearly two million followers on Instagram?”
It turns out he meant Damian Broderick who is famous for his “let’s get dressed” reels and his fiancé Corinne,
They were, in a word, delightful.

I’m not sure what I expected, but I didn’t expect to have as much fun as I had. Damian and Corinne shifted between easy conversation and incredible focus in a way that I still don’t really understand.

The shoot was a blur, racing with the evening light, but when I got back and started to look at the shots I got … I was a little stunned. I really like how these shots turned out.

The images on this post were shot on the Hasselblad X2D with an 80mm lens, all manual focus, edited in Lightroom with a color preset I have been working on for the past year. I have a few more sets of shots that I took on the Leica Q3 43 that I’ll post soon.

Thanks again to Nick for the invite and to Damian and Corinne for being wonderful to work with.
Here are a few random photos you may enjoy, or have a look at all my portfolio, my work shooting roadside memorials, or car people that I have photographed.
