Gabe

I’m not 100% sure if I have the right person, but if I do, Gabe died after making a series of poor decisions. He was reportedly driving recklessly on Oregon highway 97, nearly causing several accidents, before crashing his car. When Bend police responded, Gabe apparently brandished a firearm, at which point the police shot and killed him.

Gabe was eighteen.

Another article reports that Gabe had no criminal record, so it’s certainly odd that he responded to an accident by pulling a gun on the police. That said, details are scant, and regardless of what happened the result is the same.

I’m not sure why I went with (mostly) black-and-white for these images. It just seemed more interesting, and perhaps given the circumstances it’s ironic: life is rarely black-and-white.
