Terri lost control of her Lexus on Highway 14 in 2020, hitting two trucks in the process before losing her life at 57. Her passenger, William Hazard, may have survived, and may be the one maintaining this beautiful memorial.

At the base of the memorial is this plaque and poem:

The thing about the descansos is that they make this poem true: “Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day, unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved still missed, and very dear.”
