Jayden

Jayden Smith died in fire. His VW bug crossed the center line on highway 97 at the exact wrong time and collided with a semi. Both vehicles caught fire, according to Oregon State Patrol, and Smith died at the scene.

Jayden was twenty three.

His descanso is beautiful and very well kept, although I expect that since the accident happened just under a year ago in March 2024. Fresh looking flowers, a nice angel, and a very well considered cross with Jayden’s photo on it.

There were other items at the base of the cross but I didn’t poke around. For me it’s enough to take my photos and not get too involved, especially on days like this where I am seeing an awful lot of death.
