Corner a Dos
Across from Corner a Uno was a single descanso for Senior Alberto Gomez. Since I don’t touch I could not get any more detail from the memorial, and it was in enough brush I didn’t want to get too much closer, but it was a very well done piece and the flowers at the base appeared to be fresh as of this week, still wrapped in plastic.

As I stood there at this obviously dangerous corner I had to stop a moment and admire the dedication of the families: putting these descansos up can’t be easy and can’t be safe. Alberto’s memorial, while not as grandiose or involved as those across the highway, would have been significantly harder to put in.
I guess it’s a testament to faith.

Descanse en paz, Alberto.
